2026 Asia Triathlon Super Sprint Elite Championship Xuzhou
(13 June - 14 June 2026) Selection Policy
(6 men and 6 women slots) (tentative number)

Objectives:
The primary objective of this policy is to establish criteria for selection, ensuring fairness, consistency, and transparency in TriHK's process for selecting capable and eligible athletes to represent Hong Kong, China, to challenge for podium positions (1st, 2nd and 3rd) in the individual and Mixed Team relay at the aforementioned event.

Details & Criteria:
1. Athletes must be 18 years old by 31 December 2026 to qualify and are current TriHK National Squad Members.
2. Athletes must have sufficient results to be put on the start list for all events.
3. Athletes with any current (2026) disciplinary issues are not eligible for selection.
4. Race Selection Slots:
• Best-ranked Hong Kong Athlete finished in the Top 8 in the 2025 National Games (1 slot)
• The first two athletes finished in the Top 30 in the 2026 World Triathlon Cup Chengdu (2 slots)
• The first two athletes finished in the Top 10 in the 2026 Asia Triathlon Cup Lianyungang (2 slots)
• Discretionary Slot for the athlete with the best combination of TriHK recognized 2025-2026 race results (1 slot)

*If the criteria are not reached, the slot will become discretionary based on HKSFOC “Objective Selection Criteria” and will review the race results from August 2025 to May 2026.

Reserve Slots:
- Any eligible athlete not selected via the above selection methods would be substituted if the selected athlete is unable to take part due to injury/physical/mental conditions.

TriHK reserves the right, when and where necessary, to adjust the above policies and has the final discretion.
