2026 Youth Olympic Games, Dakar
(5 November - 6 November 2026) Selection Policy

Objectives:
The primary objective of this policy is to establish criteria for selection, ensuring fairness, consistency, and transparency in TriHK's process for selecting capable and eligible athletes to represent Hong Kong, China, to achieve the Top 1/3 at the aforementioned event.

Details & Criteria:
1. Athletes must born between be 1st January 2009 and 31st December 2010.
2. Athletes are current TriHK National Squad Members.
3. Athletes must have a valid HKSAR passport.
4. Athletes must have sufficient results to be put on the start list for all events.
5. Athletes with any current (2026) disciplinary issues are not eligible for selection.
6. Race Selection Criteria will be based on the following race results:
• First Hong Kong athlete to achieve a top 5 position at the 2026 Asia Triathlon Cup Lianyungang;
• First Hong Kong athlete to achieve a top 5 position at the 2026 Asia Triathlon Super Sprint Youth Championship Xuzhou.
• Review all athletes’ 2026 TriHK race results.

*If the criteria are not reached, the slot will become discretionary based on HKSFOC “Objective Selection Criteria”.

Reserve Slots:
- Any eligible athlete not selected via the above selection methods would be substituted if the selected athlete is unable to take part due to injury/physical/mental conditions.

TriHK reserves the right, when and where necessary, to adjust the above policies and has the final discretion.
